Potential health risks surrounding ingredients of pre-workout and post-workout dietary supplements: a thorough label analysis

ABSTRACT Objective Dietary supplements use is increasing. may contain high doses of substances or dangerous ingredient combinations. This article aims to investigate, by analyzing dietary labels, if there are any doping amounts other component in the reviewed supplements. Methods Several brands which possessed their sorted pre-workout and post-workout were analyzed. 40 with all ingredients described included. The minimum maximum dosages statistically as Mean±SD. Results Citrus aurantium extract, Yohimbe Garcinia cambogia extract Maca root reported some analyzed Regarding caffeine, group displayed higher mean caffeine (241±86mg) than (183±68mg), minimal dose was 226±84mg; meanwhile, maximal 242±88mg. Concerning creatine, lower creatine (3106±1079mg) (4137±4177mg), 3167±1728mg; 3917±3643mg. salt content a much (2155±4486mg) (464±605mg), 1635±3930mg; 1708±3926g. Conclusions No supplements, but consumption recommendations on label could lead excessive not yet fully tested ingredients.
